Frequently Asked Questions

  • Renting tents from us is simple. Select the dates for installation and removal, then browse our selection of tents and select the size you'd like to rent. Proceed through the booking process and your rental is confirmed. We will be in touch within 24 hours to confirm the details of your booking.

  • Express Tent only accepts online bookings. In order to keep costs down our sales staff are committed to servicing each of our customers - and we hope you will become one! Once you have booked your tenting items one of our salespeople will be in touch within 24 hours to confirm the details of your setup.

  • Reservations can be cancelled within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. After that events can be cancelled but the deposit payment will be forfeited. Reservations cannot be cancelled within 7 days of installation date.

  • Once you have added all of your items to your cart you will be promted to pay a 25% deposit in order to check-out and confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to installation date.

  • We are open Monday-Saturday from 8am-3pm. We are unable to confirm the specific timing for your delivery until 24 hours before delivery. At that time, we will be in touch with a 2-hour installation window of when you can expect our crew.

  • Your tent will be delivered and installed by our team on the day that you selected when making the reservation. All orders must be delivered (we don't offer pickups). The delivery crew will need a space to park the truck (typically a 26' box truck) and will need access to the installation location. Our team will be in touch with you before installation to make sure that we know where the tent is going and any other access details. It is best to have someone on site to ensure that the correct number of tables and chairs are received and that the tent is installed to your liking. If no one is present, then we will use photos to verify that work has been completed.

  • The customer is responsible for any damaged or missing items. This includes tent fabric, structural items, lighting, or furniture. Any damage will be billed at replacement cost.

  • We require at least 48 hours' notice for all reservations. However, items are booked on a first-come first-serve basis and as such we recommend booking as early as possible.

  • Our tents are designed to meet the Ontario Building Code and we do have structural diagrams available upon request. Our tents are built to withstand normal wind and rain and can withstand gusts up to 100 km/hr. All tent structures are not designed to be occupied during electrical storms, or storms with winds exceeding 100km/hr. In addition tents are not designed for snow load so if renting a tent in the winter it is the customers responsibility to ensure that no snow is allowed to accumulate on the tent roofs.

  • Our tents are inspected prior to loading, as well as inspected and maintained every time they enter our warehouse. This is to ensure the highest possible quality when delivered for your event.

  • Express Tent Rentals does not apply for building permits. It is the customer’s responsibility to research any permit requirements and apply for such permits prior to the installation of the tent. Express Tent Rentals will supply engineered drawings, or any other information required for the permit process as part of the rental costs.
